NANTUCKET FLOWER CAMP

Who's ready for an IRL (in real life) floral fantasy camp on Nantucket?

We say...it's time to safely gather in a small, socially distant group, living outdoors and soaking in the beauty of nature and all the bliss and peace that goes with it.  It’s time for Nantucket Flower Camp™ along with our Grocery to Gourmet® culinary arts workshops.

Let's tiptoe through the climbing roses together, creating, strolling, sipping, tasting, as we sunset sail away. And if you love flowers, as you can see, we've worked up a dream of a week in a flowery fantasyland for you.

We'll do some walking, floral work-shopping, share Grocery to Gourmet® pro tips, garden touring, some bouquet making, generational family farming and create beauty right alongside you to make the week your very own. And - perhaps my all-time favorite - some Main Street farm truck shopping. I mean...does it get any more adorable than this? We can't wait to see you, and celebrate life, love, and beauty together on Nantucket.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Please note we are happy to customize the camp experience based on your personal preferences, passions, interests, etc.

Day 1

Rise, shine and spend the day walking through the flowery fairy tale of Nantucket. Waking up and stepping onto the cobblestone streets of Nantucket is to step back into a more peaceful, thoughtful era.

We'll start our morning with a turquoise blue harborside walk through 1600s Nantucket town, full of US and UK history, ferry boats, and perfumed rosa rugosa as we wind to the iconic Brant Point, the second oldest lighthouse in the country.

Our walk will end on Orange Street, with a beautiful summer brunch cooking workshop inside the DL Cottage kitchen, where together we'll prepare all the season's top recipes and share Grocery to Gourmet® tips and tricks on a custom French La Cornue range, the favorite of Julia Child, Alice Waters and more.  Our sessions on cooking and cocktails will be made easy and look incredible with our curated list of Grocery to Gorgeous® favorite products.  Our cocktail and wine sessions cover wine selections, wine characteristics,  wine pairings, fabulous food and drink recipes, and menu and decor planning for all occasions.

This afternoon we’ll visit storied Sconset, the tiny artist hamlet on the eastern tip of the island. Here roses cover the roof, wildflower pocket gardens rule the day, and the most beautiful secret garden walk awaits. We'll tour what was originally the 1800s Sconset Cottage Club, and end with a chef's farm to table late garden lunch and tour in the prettiest south of France setting this side of the Atlantic.

Head back to the hotel to relax and regroup.

Tonight, we’ll savor the best sunset view on the island, with a charcuterie and champagne beach party. Watch the ferries sail in and out as we toast and cheer as the golden summer sun dips below the horizon, and the beach cheers.

Day 2

This morning we'll start our day with a gorgeous coastal hike through the natural oasis of the salt marsh along the pristine harbor overlooking Coatue, the slender barrier peninsula that protects Nantucket Harbor. We'll see a species of protected shorebirds, waterbirds, plovers, herons, oystercatchers, and egrets.

Next, we'll enjoy a hands-on floral workshop inside DL Cottage, clipping fresh from the garden, as we create hand tied French bouquets with farm fresh flowers using seasonal hydrangea, summer roses, textural accents and more.

Lunch is another gorgeous garden party, in a beautiful walled garden covered in ivies and shade trees in town.

We'll finish today at 4 pm, so you have the late afternoon and evening to explore on your own. We can easily arrange activities and dinner reservations for you.

Day 3

Mornings are better on the farm - so we'll start at a world famous 7 generation family farm, founded 1800s. Get ready to taste everything my friends - because this is legendary.

After touring the fields we'll prepare a Summertime Tomato Strawberry Feast, complete with savory tomato cocktails, fresh baked French tarts, salads, grilled pizzas, and desserts. We'll enjoy an al fresco garden lunch in the garden.

Head back to the hotel to relax and regroup, dinner on your own.

After dinner we'll enjoy a Wine & Chocolate Party around the firepit, DL Cottage. We'll learn how to best pair wines with chocolates and desserts, all while smores-ing with rare handmade chocolates and toasting in the moonlit garden.

The price for the 3 day workshop is $3700.

We will happily create a half day, 1 day, or 2 day workshop as well.
